To be honest with you I have lost so much money online that I almost lost my house and wife. I tried everything from blogging for dollars, E-Books and even Dollar Blaster. That last one makes me madder than all the others because that one I probably made the guy rich by the time I figured out how to test the link he gave and found out it was going into his account all along. Anyway, I have set two sites up just to help all of us trying to make a living online.

OK now to the business of choosing your online business and some realistic goals to making money.

I have probably read about every quote expert and tried the advise to the point of bankruptcy and finally found out that they were all saying the same thing. Unfortunately if it didn't work once it most likely won't work the second time or the third. What they are counting on is desperation and forgetting what you have already spent money on. Don't laugh it works more times than I would like to admit.

Now yes you can make money online and there are several ways to achieve this. You can open web sites like these that I own and there are four: jblquickstart.com, jblquickstart.net, jblquickstart.info, and jblquickstart.ws.

The object here is to create a site that has valuable information in it that will build up a following over time. You get your money from the ad space that you display.

Now you can also do the same type of thing with a blog.

By all means check out my other sites. I will tell you up front though that the .net site is currently redirected to a program that has proved very profitable to date.

Your online business needs a plan and a goal just like a brick and mortar business. You will need an isolated financial institution for business checking and savings accounts. You will also need to record and keep track of your links and username and passwords. Trust me on this you will need a lot more than just a note pad as your business starts to grow. Now I said grow not make money. The growth comes first for the most part and since this is the internet it can happen in just a few days so be prepared or you will lose track of what you have in the works and just waste your money that you have invested. Also you have to constantly check your accounts that are earning you income. Most places will not just send you the money you have to request it. Again if you forget they make the money not you.

Google Adsense takes about ten days to get approved so if you are planning on that source for your income please do not quit your day job because you have to produce a lot of traffic and clicks to make money that will replace a regular job.

Ebay and Google Adwords are great places to sell and advertise your products and you can find a number of suppliers that will pay you a commission and do the shipping for you. Just watch your budget so you don't end up paying more than you make. It can happen very easily.

You will find that it takes about 100,000 hits to make a sale. Traffic Exchanges to date have pushed my hit rate up but I can not account even one sale to the use of the traffic exchanges.
